Memories in Super 8  (Silent)Memories in Super 8 (Silent) This film, originally shot in 8mm format follows the migrant journey of an English family, the Aldertons, with additional footage from three other families. Each group travelled from Great Britain to Australia. Journey SlideshowJourney Slideshow Peter Taylor’s slideshow of his journey on the Otranto in 1957. The ship sailed from Tilbury, England, via South Africa as the Suez Canal was closed. Keeping a JournalKeeping a Journal Ally Heathcote migrated from England with her family in 1874. Read extracts from Ally’s journal which details many particulars about life aboard during the voyage. Keeping a Photo AlbumKeeping a Photo Album Dutch couple Edmond and Ann Vandernagel’s photo album of their migration journey from Nederlands to Australia through the Suez Canal in 1956. Keeping a ScrapbookKeeping a Scrapbook Scrapbook created by the Alderton family as a momento of their voyage on the 'Fairsea' 1964.
