There is wheelchair access available via the Main Entrance and there is a lift to upper levels of the building.

Our floor staff are qualified in first aid and available to assist in case of an emergency.

Coaches and mini-buses may off-load students at the designated zone on Market Street, near the museum banners. There are no bus-parking facilities available onsite.

Student lunches and baggage

As there is limited storage space available, we request that students do not bring their school bags into the museum. Lunches and drinks can be stored in tubs.

In good weather the museum’s courtyard can be used as a lunch area. We ask teachers to have an alternative lunch venue planned for bad weather, as there are no under cover areas available.
