These resources for Adult ESL, General Education and ELICOS students focus on the theme of immigration to Australia. There are specific curriculum links with the Certificate in Spoken and Written English, the ESL Curriculum Framework, the Certificate in English Language Literacies and the Certificate in General Education for Adults. These curriculum links are made within the conceptual framework of the Transforming Lives, Transforming Communities curriculum umbrella.
The kit consists of excursion resources and additional resources.
Excursion resources
These relate directly to an excursion to the Immigration Museum. The Worksheets provide On-site Activities (see below) focussed on various themes and are graded as suitable for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Appropriate worksheets should be selected and discussed with students before the excursion.
