Each program unit offers a range of activities that include warm ups, tasks to be worked on at school, a visit to the museum and follow up activities focussing on research, writing, teamwork and performance skills.
The Settlers Under Sail unit has been designed for Years 2-6, Leavings for Years 5-6.
The moving, evocative stories of the museum exhibitions provide extensive opportunities for students to develop deep understandings as identified by the VELS.
The excursion program also includes an introduction and activity by an Immigration Museum staff member. The Drama and Cultural Diversity unit resources are available online.
Available Terms 1-4, Monday-Friday.
Session times: 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm.
Session duration: 60 minutes.
Maximum 50 students per session.
