This interactive presentation allows children to explore migration and cultural diversity through stories told with objects, artefacts and costumes.
To further enhance children’s understanding of themselves and the diverse society they live in, the presentation is followed by a self guided activity; children work in small groups with teachers and accompanying adults taking a discovery trail through the museum, investigating migration stories.
The Little Red Suitcase Option is available for P-2 groups.
The Big Brown Bag Option is available for grade 3-4 students, who each receive their in-Museum activities in a take-home miniature suitcase.
The Pack Your Bags education kit is available online providing pre and post visit resources to further support student learning.
Available Terms 1-4, Tuesday-Friday.
Session times: 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm.
Session duration: 90 minutes, including 45-minute staff led presentation.
Maximum 50 students per session.
Cost: $4.40 per student plus education service fee
