A special children’s festival celebrating Japanese culture.
In celebration of the special exhibition, Kimono: Osaka’s Golden Age, the Immigration Museum is presenting a one-day festival just for kids highlighting all things Japanese.
Children and families will have the opportunity to watch a Bunraku puppet performance from Barking Spider Visual Theatre, make kakeshi dolls and Japanese Hanging fish, create a kimono for a paper doll, fold an origami Samurai hat, decorate a Japanese fan and learn how to dress in a yukata kimono.
After all this fun, families can visit the Kimono exhibition for the unique experience of seeing beautiful garments.
This is an IM 10th Birthday Program event.
