Create the most delicious and irresistible of Brazilian sweets, the brigadeiro (chocolate truffle).

At the Melt: Chocolate Festival, learn about the origins of brigadeiros, invented to support the handsome brigadier Eduardo Gomes in his run for the presidency of Brazil in 1946. Although he was ultimately unsuccessful, brigadeiros have since become more popular than any other Brazilian sweet or politician in Brazil, found at children’s parties, weddings and other special events.

See a demonstration then shape and decorate your own box of six special brigadeiros with different flavours to take home, along with the recipe.

Workshop places are limited and recommended for adults and children aged 6 years and above. Children under the age of 12 years must also be accompanied by a paying and participating adult.
