Kite making and flying is traditional in many cultures. Use the materials provided to make your own!
The earliest kites came from China, and were made of silk and bamboo. In India, special fighting kites are constructed and flown in the Makar Sankranti festival.
In Bermuda, kites are made each year at Easter time, symbolising Christ’s rise to heaven. Kites are also traditionally crafted and flown in Japan, Afghanistan, Korea, and Bangladesh!
Be inspired and make your own tissue paper kite then try flying it in our courtyard.
