Frances Salenga is Coordinator Cultural Diversity at the City of Ballarat, where she oversees the roll-out of the Council’s Cultural Diversity Strategy. She has extensive experience in education, project management and policy development.
Frances is very keen in promoting social inclusion, community engagement, participation and capacity building particularly focusing on the needs of culturally, linguistically and religiously diverse groups. She has a BA in English Literature, and a Masters in Social and Development Studies with a major in Anthropology and Sociology, Development Management.
Prior to coming to Australia from the Philippines, she was a training analyst, lecturer, international election observer and Director of the Centre for Social Concern at the Assumption College in Manila.
