The Hadrosaur Fossils (video)

Object Description

Museum Victoria’s Dave Pickering talks about the hadrosaur bones and skin fossils.

Educational Value Statement

This is a fossil of plant-eating hadrosaur dinosaur from Canada. It was about six to seven metres long, and weighed about three tonne. The fossil includes the tail and vertebra and includes evidence of skin as well.

The fossil is articulated and shows bones in the position they were in life.   This is quite rare as the bones of most are scattered by scavengers, or by water after they die.
