What Can We Learn From Dinosaur Eggs?(video)

Object Description

Museum Victoria’s Dr John Long talks about what we can learn from dinosaur eggs.

Educational Value Statement

This video discusses what we can learn from dinosaur eggs.

We see a nest of 70 to 90 million years old dinosaur eggs from China.  The dinosaur that laid these eggs was one of the largest creatures to walk the face of the Earth - a big long-necked, plant-eating sauropod dinosaur.

It explains how delicate things like eggs become fossilized. These eggs are very valuable scientifically as they provide information about dinosaur behaviour and tell us all about dinosaurs as living animals.
