Birrarung is set within Bunjilaka, a living cultural centre made up of several key gallery spaces for Victoria's indigenous community. It is no accident that the space curves like a river, as Birrarung is the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung name for the Yarra River. Birrarung has a hand carved zinc wall and leads via double doors to an outdoor area, Milarri Garden. Birrarung provides the perfect opportunity for guests to enjoy both a contemporary indoor venue and outdoor gardens. Your event can be combined with a private viewing of Jumbunna, dedicated exhibition space, plus a traditional welcome or indigenous performance.
