Making a Quid in The Melbourne Story

These resources have been prepared for teachers and students in Years 5-6 who have booked the Making a Quid program in the Melbourne Story exhibition at Melbourne Museum.

This program focuses on the world of work – how the processes of production, distribution and consumption impact on the development of cities. It is led by museum staff, and takes place in an Activity Room and in the Melbourne Story exhibition.

The study of Melbourne and its history has close curriculum links with Humanities (History, Geography and Economics), Civics and Citizenship, Personal Learning, Interpersonal Development, Communication and Thinking Processes.

The resources below should be reviewed by teachers and discussed with the class before the excursion. Please note that bookings for all visits are essential (telephone 1300 130 152).
