Melbourne Museum excursion packages have been designed to optimise student learning within a specific content area or theme. Each package provides a suggested program for a fun and interactive day at the museum that also meets specific curriculum outcomes.
This package includes the Fun and Games education program, as well as booked time in the Melbourne Story and Forest Secrets exhibitions.
Fun and Games enables children to observe and interact with traditional playthings and games from different historical periods within the museum environment in order to explore the historical concept of change and continuity – ‘some things change, some things stay the same’. Children are encouraged to consider how the technologies of a period shape the types of toys and games available and the way the natural and the social environment affects the types of games played

11am Melbourne Story exhibition
11:30am Milarri Garden
