Children's Gallery

Years Kinder-2, Self guided program

The Children’s Museum is a special place for children, designed for self-directed learning through play, observation, enquiry, participation, discovery and reflection.

Presenting live animal specimens, actual-size replicas of turtles and objects in context such as emu eggs, the Children’s Gallery aids children in making connections between themselves and their world. Children make comparisons between themselves and objects on display by touching, looking and listening.

The education kit is available online. It contains teacher notes, excursion resources and pre-visit and post-visit activities.

Available Terms 1 & 2, Monday-Friday.
Session times: 11am, 11.30am, 1pm & 1.30pm.
