Dynamic Earth

F-12, Self guided program

Dynamic Earth exhibition interior shotGold nuggets, giant crystals and uncut diamonds star in Dynamic Earth, a stunning exhibition that uses cutting-edge technology and thousands of minerals to tell the story of our ever-changing planet.

This highly visual and immersive exhibition explores Earth's formation, the composition of layers within the Earth, rock formation and geological processes through extensive displays of Museum Victoria's impressive geology collection in combination with spectacular and interactive multimedia.

Your students can be surrounded by an active volcano in Rio Tinto Volcanic 3D in AVIE by iCinema UNSW, a fully immersive and interactive 3D cinema exhibit. They will experience underwater volcanoes to journeying down a lava tunnel following an eruption.

We recommend that Year 8 groups book the museum led program Rocks-Camera-Action to support their visit and learning at AusVELS Level 8 earth science.
