Forest Gallery

Years 10-VCE, Self guided program

Choose the self guided trail most suited to your students' needs through the Forest Gallery, an external gallery where visitors experience aspects of a forest environment, with more than 8000 individual plants, including 25-metre-tall gums, and a variety of live animals.

Through multimedia, signage and living plants and animals, they are able to interpret the impact of water on the landscape, the role of plate tectonics in the evolution of plant species and the significance of fire for forest plants and animals. Students also analyse the mechanisms involved in change from a scientific and social perspective.

An education package, Forest Gallery, will be sent on booking. It contains background information, pre and post visit activities, walks for students to use in the exhibition and a detailed resource list.

Available Terms 1-4, Monday-Friday.
Cost: booking fee.
