La biodiversité fragile

Years 7-9, Program led by museum staff

This interactive 30 or 45 minute program is led and conducted in French by a qualified French teacher.

Students have the opportunity to observe a live bug and be ‘scientists’ when they examine real bugs [in resin] with hand lens in order to:

  • understand the reason behind the various classification for bugs
  • discover the environmental impact of bugs in ecology and in terms of biodiversity


This program is supported by the AFTV. Teachers that are members of the AFTV will be eligible to book this staff led program and have the students’ costs waived. Only an $11 booking fee will apply. To become an AFTV member see details at http://www.aftv.vic.edu.au.

Available Term 2, Fridays only.
Session times: 10.30am & 11am.
Session duration: 30 minutes.

Maximum 35 students per session.
Cost: $3.30 per student if school is not an AFTV member, plus education service fee.
