By entering Melbourne Museum, you agree to be bound to these conditions of entry.

Supervision of children

Children under 12 years of age must be supervised by an adult 17 years or older.

Filming and photography

Non-commercial filming and photography is permitted in the museum except where signs specifically prohibit it. Commercial filming and photography is permitted by prior arrangement only. Filming and photography is not permitted in the IMAX cinema at any time.


Visitors must abide by warnings and instructions. For safety, footwear must be worn at all times. Please ensure that personal items are not left unattended. Museum Victoria will not be liable for lost or stolen property. Museum management reserves the right to refuse entry, to remove any person from the site and to inspect bags.

Smoking, eating and drinking
