Images exploring summer fun in Victoria from 100 years ago.

Get in the mood for the summer holidays and see a selection of historical images depicting the timeless sentiment of summertime fun.

The photographs illustrate the holiday world of sand, surf, caravans and cricket and were taken around 1900 to 1938. They are drawn from a collection of family photographs that were acquired by Museum Victoria to create the Biggest Family Album.

These photos tell the true Australian Summer Story. The sun, the cricket, the expressions. Beautifully captured, historical moments. Warmest wishes, Katina Kyriopoulos
