A Young American Fan
Many Americans took great interest in Phar Lap in the lead up to the Agua Caliente Handicap.
Miss Helen Fussee of Spokane, Washington, was in her teens when she wrote a 'fan letter' to the Australians to inquire how Phar Lap was settling in.
Woodcock's reply, with photograph, is dated 18 March 1932, just two days before the Agua Caliente race in Mexico.
