Marie Davie first saw Phar Lap run late in his career but remained a devoted fan for the next seven decades. She lovingly added to the scrapbook any newscuttings and images of Phar Lap that she came across. Mrs Davie also wrote several poems about Phar Lap. These and other poems have been typed on an old manual typrewriter and pasted into the scrapbook.
