My name is Professor Richard Mackay and I have a couple of roles with the project. I'm firstly an adjunct professor at La Trobe University , but I'm also a partner of Godden Mackay Logan, or GML, which is the company that's undertaking the archaeological investigation project on behalf of Museum Victoria.
So, the project is a collaboration - it involves archaeologists from GML, it involves external archaeologists and students from La Trobe University and we're working together and we'll be here over the next month, hoping to peel back the layers that will reveal the history of this site and particularly some evidence of the German Garden that formerly stood here.
