World Heritage Management Plan

The Plan

A draft Management Plan was prepared in 2011. It was publicly exhibited from June 2011 until August 2011, and submissions were sought from all interested parties. All submitters also had the opportunity to present their submissions to the Steering Committee at a public hearing held in September 2011.

The Steering Committee reviewed the contents of the draft Management Plan, in light of the submissions received, and forwarded it to the Minister.

The World Heritage Management Plan for the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens has now been approved by the Victorian Minister for Planning and a copy has been sent to the Federal Minister for the Environment.

The World Heritage Management Plan for the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens and the attachments are available from the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure website.
