This kit contains teacher notes and student activities related to celestial navigation to complement a visit to Melbourne Planetarium.
The teacher notes contain information about visiting the planetarium, a synopsis of the program focussing on celestial navigation, solar system statistics, links between the student activities and the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, and a list of relevant web links.
The 12 student activities are intended to be done as pre or post-visit activities at home or at school. Teachers should review them before use, and modify them to suit the educational needs of their students.
