Scienceworks education excursion packages have been designed to optimise student learning within a specific content area or theme. Each package provides a suggested program for a fun and interactive day at Scienceworks that also meets specific curriculum outcomes.
The Solar System package will give your students an opportunity to learn about the planets in the Solar System with particular emphasis on the definition of a planet and the recent changes in our understandings about the Solar System.
This package includes the Problem with Pluto planetarium show and the Journey to Mars science show.
An example itinerary could be:
10.00am – Journey to Mars science show
10.30am – General viewing of exhibitions
11:00am – Problem with Pluto Planetarium show
12:00pm – Lunch
Available Terms 1 and 2, Tuesdays to Fridays.
Maximum of 60 students per session
Minimum of 15 students per session
