Earth, Moon and Sun

Years 3-8, Science show

This 30-minute science show uses audio visual equipment and interactive demonstrations to explain: how the Earth’s rotation on its axis affects the day and night cycle, why we see the phases of the Moon and why we have seasons on Earth.

Year 7-8 students also learn about the conditions necessary for a total solar and lunar eclipse and demonstrates why we don’t have a solar and lunar eclipse every month.

Term 3: 15 Jul – 23 Aug (Tuesday – Friday, excluding public holidays)
Term 4: 11 Nov – 20 Dec (Tuesday – Friday, excluding public holidays)

Session duration: 30 minutes.
Maximum 110 students per session.
Cost: $3.30 per student + education service fee.
