Measurement and Technology – Using Data Loggers

Years 5-8, Program led by museum staff

Data loggers are a great tool to introduce students to maths topics such as graphing and measurement. In this practical session led by Scienceworks staff, students will learn to use ‘Spark’ data loggers to investigate practical situations and explore how graphs can be created.

Your students will be able to use the data loggers confidently after a few minutes of instruction and they will be engaged by their application to practical activities. It’s a great way of incorporating ICT into mathematics and to introduce graphing.

The Measurement and Technology workshop is presented in the Helen R. Quinn Energy Lab, proudly supported by ExxonMobil Australia.
