Open daily 10am – 4:30pm
Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.
Adults $8, Concessions and Children free entry.
Additional charges may apply for temporary exhibitions.
Melbourne Planetarium and Lightning Room shows each incur an additional charge of $5 Adults, $4 concessions and $3.50 child (3 - 16 years).
To ensure free-flowing access for all our visitors, prams and stroller are not permitted within the Planetarium and Lightning Room. A pram parking area is provided.

There is wheelchair access to Scienceworks from the Main Entrance with lift access to all exhibition levels of the museum
There is wheelchair access to the Melbourne Planetarium; it is advisable that visitors arrive at the Planetarium foyer 10 - 15 mins before the show starts.

The recently refurbished café offers a mix of self selection and counter service – with a variety of healthy, fresh and contemporary food to suit all tastes.
The café is open from 10:00am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 4:30pm on weekends and Public Holidays.
