Mary Nabegeyo

Mary Nabegeyo experiments with coiling techniques resulting in hybrid forms such as classic conical twined baskets with protrusions on their bases. Mary is the daughter of senior fibre artist Garnbaladj Nabegeyo.

Muriel Nabegeyo

Muriel employs crossed coiling in her baskets and produces looped pandanus bags. Her father was painter Yirawala. Muriel continues her family's artistic tradition with her own fibre work.

Robyn Nabegeyo

Robyn Nabegeyo will often work with Garnbaladj Nabegeyo. They have collaborated on making feathered string bags. Both women create similar open coiled baskets. They are co-wives of the painter Mukggudu Nabegeyo.

Rose produces large pieces like the one in the 2003 Telstra Art Awards. She characteristically uses combinations of coiling techniques within a single work. Her children are Christine, Sandra, Edna and Dorothy.

Sarah has preferred to make works using the coiling technique over the years. Her sister is fibre artist Grace Nawirridj. Sarah is married to John Nadjalaburnburn and they have four children.

Djawida Nadjongorle

Djawida first started painting in rock shelters. He frequently depicts mimih figures in his paintings and paints stories from both his father's country at Djalbangurr and his mother's country at Kudjekbinj.

Wendy Namarnyilk 1977

Wendy Namarnyilk produces coiled buckets and incorporates plaiting into the body of the basket. The signature feature of her work is button discs where the handle joins the body of the work.

Beatrice Namundja 1970
Ngalbangardi, Dulmangarr
Yirridjdja, Gunburayi, Gunbalanya

Beatrice Namundja primarily uses the coiling technique and produces bold patterns. She is the daughter of fibre artist Noeline Nayilibidj.
