Leanne makes a variety of coiled forms and experiments with combinations of techniques. Her work featured in Object in 2004. The National Gallery of Australia acquired one of her pieces.

Leonie Guymala makes loosely coiled baskets with coiled handles called kaberlkaridi. She favours horizontal patterning of orange and pinks and purples. Leonie is the senior fibre artist at Kamarrgawon outstation.

Betty incorporates open structural zigzag forms within her coiled baskets. Her sisters are Marlene Burrunali, Jill Nganjmirra and Leanne Guymala. A feature on their fibre work appeared in Object in 2004.

Karen Watson

Karen makes lidded baskets and uses strong colour in block patterns. Her mother is fibre artist Ruby Billidja. Karen is one of the youngest artists in the exhibition.
