A Community of Communities

Past Event: 20 November 2002 to 9 February 2003

Victoria's Spanish speaking community includes people from 23 different countries.

They come from South America, Central America and, of course, Spain. While each country has its own history, traditions and character, all Spanish speaking immigrants are united by their common language.

A Community of Communities looks at the lives of some of our Spanish speaking immigrants, explores the reasons they left their homelands, and tells of their journey to Victoria and their efforts to settle into a new life in a new land.

Developed with the Spanish Latin American Welfare Centre.
