The round container is supported on four square legs on an annular base. A lug is carved on one of the legs. This dish is carved from the sacred vesi wood. While these vessels may also be used by priests as an oil dish, the residue in this bowl suggests its use as a yaqona bowl. The priest must suck the yaqona up in the burau manner, not touching the container at any time. When not in use, it is suspended from the lug to which sinnet fibre has been attached.
