Celebrating the Dutch community in Victoria.
We asked visitors to pull on theirr clogs and join us in this special one-day festival capturing the spirit and culture of Victoria’s 80,000-strong Dutch community. Activities included displays of craft and Delft porcelain, poetry readings from the Erasmus Society in Dutch and English, traditional Dutch games, children’s activities, and clog dancing. The festival also offered a Ship Reunion, an opportunity for post-WWII Dutch migrants to meet, reminisce and swap stories about their journey to Australia.
