Instructions

General

  1. To print your tickets, you must have a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, an internet connection and a printer that prints dark, clear lines.
  2. Select the date of your visit. Online and phone bookings must be made at least three hours in advance of the planned visit.
  3. Select the time you’d like to visit the exhibition. We suggest you allow at least 90 minutes to see the exhibition; most visitors will want to stay for one to two hours.
  4. Tickets to the exhibition also entitle you entry to Melbourne Museum between 10am and closing at 5pm on the same day that the exhibition ticket is valid for. If you have booked an exhibition session after 5pm and also wish to visit the museum, you will need to arrive with enough time to visit before 5pm, as there is no access to other areas within the museum after that time.
  5. The last available session time each day is 90 minutes prior to the advertised closing time.
  6. If you have Museum Victoria membership, enter your member number to be eligible for the discount (does not apply to MVteacher subscriptions). You will need to bring your membership card and some photo ID on the day.
  7. Photo ID is also required for concession ticket purchases.
  8. Child prices apply between the ages of three and 16 years (inclusive).
  9. Select the number of tickets you will need by the ticket type i.e. 2 x adult, 1 x child. You can buy up to ten tickets in one transaction.
  10. Enter your name, contact information and payment details. There is a $4.00 booking fee that will be added to your transaction.
  11. Your tickets will be sent to you in an email from melbournemuseumolt@museum.vic.gov.au, so if you have a spam filter, make sure that it will accept an email from this address.
  12. Your tickets are subject to Terms and Conditions.
