Your body can do amazing things. Its cells, its tissues and its systems allow you to breathe, move, eat and drink, think, and defend yourself from disease.
View your body inside, outside, up close and over time in this exhibition about human biology. You'll find plastinated specimens from the University of Melbourne that show how your body works. You'll hear about the history of anatomy and the way our understanding of our bodies has evolved over the centuries.
Highlights include interactive DNA displays, historic post-mortem tools, early x-ray machines, an ancient Egyptian mummy called Tjeby and a papier-mâché anatomical model from the 1850s. And the Melbourne Museum exhibit second only in popularity to Phar Lap: the fart button!
