The Aurecon Bridge Building Competition sets teams of high school students across Australia and New Zealand the challenge to create a bridge from a set of materials for testing.
This year the competition has been ‘reimagined’ to engage participants in STEM careers, and equip them with the skills they will need for university and the future.
Join more than 50 teams of year 8 and 9 students for the Victorian leg of the competition, as they put their best bridge designs to the test. Teams compete for awards that show innovation, efficiency, strength and all-round excellence.
Scienceworks has hosted the Victorian finals of the Aurecon Bridge Building Competition since 2002, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to STEM education.
